Random animal generator
Spin once and meet an animal. In the personality set every result comes with a portrait, four traits and a link to its full profile, so a random pick turns into a question: is this you? Switch to the any-animal set when you just need names for a game or a drawing prompt.

- Drawing prompts. Deal five animals and sketch each one in two minutes. The any-animal set has enough variety that you will not get the same five twice.
- Classroom warm-ups. Spin an animal and ask for three facts, a habitat, or a sentence that uses its name. The grouped list below works as a vocabulary sheet.
- Party and team games. Charades, Pictionary, “defend your animal” and mascot draws all need a fair, instant pick.
- Team names. Deal three, pick one, add an adjective. The Deliberate Owls against the Spontaneous Monkeys.
- Writing exercises. A random animal with a personality is a character brief: the traits tell you how it talks, what it wants and what it avoids.
- The personality game. Spin, read the traits out loud, and ask the group whether the animal fits the person holding the phone. Then let them take the five-minute quiz to find out.

Quick answers
- How does the random animal generator work?
- Spin picks one animal at random from the set you chose. The personality set has 31 animals, each with a portrait, four traits and a full profile. The any-animal set has more than 150 mammals, birds, reptiles, sea creatures and insects, for when you only need a name. Deal gives you a list of three to twenty at once.
- What can I use a random animal for?
- Drawing and art prompts, writing exercises, classroom warm-ups, charades and Pictionary, team names, a fair way to assign mascots, or a quick game where everyone has to defend the animal they got. The personality set adds a twist: each animal comes with traits, so the game becomes 'is this you?'
- Is it really random?
- Yes. Every spin uses the browser's random number generator, and the list dealer never repeats an animal within one list. Nothing is weighted toward rarer animals.
- Why does it suggest a personality?
- The 31 animals are the results of the animal personality quiz, a short scenario quiz that matches you to the animal closest to how you think and work. If the random animal you spun feels right, take the quiz and see whether it agrees.
- Can I add my own animals?
- Not yet. The any-animal list covers the animals people usually mean, grouped by type, and the personality list is fixed at the 31 quiz results. If you need an animal that is missing, tell us through the contact page.
