Tips for a better best friend quiz

• Answer honestly. The fun is in the surprises, and a quiz everyone aces is boring.
• Swap out questions where all four options fit you equally. Pick the ones with a clear answer.
• Send it to a group chat rather than one person. The scoreboard is the best part.
• After a few scores come in, ask the top scorer how they knew the hard ones.

Quick answers

How does the friendship quiz work?

You answer 10 multiple-choice questions about yourself, from your comfort food to your role in the group chat. You get a link to send to friends. Each friend guesses your answers, sees their score out of 10, and lands on your scoreboard.

Is it free, and do I need an account?

It is free and there is no account, email or download. Your first name and your answers are all that is saved.

Can my friends see my answers before they play?

No. Your answers stay on our server until a friend submits their guesses. Only then do they see which ones they got right.

How do I see who scored what?

After you make your quiz you get a scoreboard link. Bookmark it: it shows every score and lets you delete the quiz. This browser also remembers your quizzes. Friends can see the top 20 scores after they play.

Can I change the questions?

Yes. You get 10 questions picked at random from a bank of 24, and you can tap "Swap this question" on any of them before you answer.

How do I delete my quiz?

Open your scoreboard link and tap Delete quiz. The quiz and every friend's score are removed straight away.

Is it safe for teens and for work chats?

The questions are light and everyday: food, holidays, habits, favourite season. There is nothing about relationships, bodies or money, and only first names are shown on the scoreboard.

What is a good score on a friendship quiz?

Seven or more out of 10 is best-friend territory. Five or six means a good friend with a few surprises. Anything lower is a great excuse for a proper catch-up.
